FRITZ!Box can be used right away on provider lines that support IPv6, supporting native IPv6 over PPP. What is more, 6to4 technology has been implemented to allow the use of IPv6 on conventional IPv4 lines. This lab version allows IPv6 to be used in the home network and the Internet.

2010/03/09 Synology® demonstreert de nieuwe DiskStation Manager 2.3

Synology^® demonstreert de nieuwe DiskStation Manager 2.3 en andere nieuwe DiskStations tijdens de CeBIT 2010

Tapei. Taiwan- 2 maart 2010- Tijdens de CeBIT 2010 - die vandaag van start gaat - zal Synology de laatste systeemfirmware, DiskStation Manager 2.3, demonstreren. Daarnaast tonen zij ook hun nieuwe DiskStations die onderdeel zijn van de line-up van 2010.

De Synology DSM 2.3 firmware bouwt voort op het reeds bekroonde ontwerp van de DiskStation manager 2.2. Daarnaast biedt de DSM 2.3 nog meer functies zoals eenvoudig volumemanagement met de Synology Hybrid RAID (SHR), shared folder encryption en een nieuwe surveillance iPhone^® app. de DS cam.

De nieuwe DiskStations, die getoond worden op de CeBIT, zijn stuk voor stuk high-performance, schaalbare DiskStations met een optimale prijs/performance ratio voor zakelijke werkgroepen en het MKB.

2010/02/16 AVM @ Cebit 2010

Two new FRITZ!Box models are set to make their debut at CeBIT 2010. AVM will be showcasing its two latest models, FRITZ!Box WLAN 3370 and FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 6360. As the first device in its performance class, the new FRITZ!Box 3370 is pioneering the future generation of WLAN N technology. Data transfer rates are increased to up to 450 Mbit/s and WLAN coverage is significantly greater. The new FRITZ!Box 6360 for cable TV connection is also making its debut appearance. Another new product at Cebit is FRITZ!App, enabling the use of smart phones with the FRITZ!Box.

2009/10/20 Grandstream Networks To Discuss IP Video And Its Impact On Healthcare at SUPERCOMM 2009

The session will discuss how the delivery of patient services transmitted to the home (or patient information that is transmitted from the home to a central receiving station), using broadband technology is revolutionizing the way that hospitals conduct the day-to-day care of their patients. Home health care via IP video has become a viable solution for hospitals without the space and resources to adequately care for patients and for patients who lack the means to travel to a hospital or may not require in house care.

For example, in Adelaide, Australia, a medical trial involving general practitioners and the World District Nursing Service used the GXV3140 phones to check in with elderly patients to assure that they are taking their medicine and for monitoring the health progress of patients unable to leave home. PC World, de specialist in technologieadvies voor PC gebruikers, testte de Fritz!Box Fon WLAN 7270 en kon niet anders dan dit product de Editor's Choice toe te kennen. De 'alleskunner' van AVM wordt vol lof beschreven door het magazine, en heeft als enige nadeel dat hij minder goed functioneert in combinatie met de verplichte internetbox van enkele operators. De Fritz!Box Fon-lijn van AVM legt de lat hoog voor de concurrentie, heel erg hoog. De mogelijkheden van deze modemrouter zijn zo uitgebreid, dat we ons afvragen of er uberhaupt nog wel iets toe te voegen valt.

2009/03/26 Synology stelt zijn 09-series Disk Station Modellen voor.

De nieuwe 09-series Disk Station modellen, variërend van 1-bay, 2-bay, 4-bay of 5-bay, bevatten een nieuw uiterlijk, geüpgrade platform en de volledig geregelde aan/uit schakeling zorgt voor energiebesparing en lagere kosten. Alle modellen worden geleverd met de Synology Disk Station Manager 2.1.

2009/01/01 BNS Distributie

Vanaf 1 januari 2009 neemt Tornado Network Services een nieuwe wending. De Belgische specialist in xDSL en VOIP gaat door het leven als fusiepartner van het Nederlandse BNS Data Logistics, de op één na grootste verdeler van verzendingen naar residentiële gebruikers van DSL-pakketten.

TNS is altijd een sterke speler geweest op gebied van telecom en dat zal in de toekomst niet veranderen. Met de ondersteuning van BNS kunnen de kennis en consultancy van het geesteskind van Jos Vinckx immers alleen maar groeien. Sinds 2000 richtte TNS zich vooral op het leveren van telecomapparatuur, op het vinden van oplossingen en het bieden van een perfecte service. In de toekomst zal dat niet anders zijn. Integendeel. De fusie is een volgende stap in het buitenlandse expansieplan van BNS. Op deze manier wordt BNS een zeer sterke speler in Benelux. Door de samenwerking met TNS kan de Nederlandse distributeur namelijk rechtstreeks vanuit België haar merken verdelen. Onder andere de producten van Thomson, AVM, Grandstream, Synology en Buffalo Technologies vliegen nu vanuit Aarschot naar je toe.

2009/09/01 BNS Fulfillment

De achtergrond van logistiek dienstverlener BNS uit de Meern ligt sinds de start in 1998 bij het verzenden van (Adsl-)modems aan zogenaamde residentiele gebruikers. Met vijfentwintig medewerkers worden inmiddels zo'n 300.000 pakketten verzonden en is BNS na TPG de grootste verzender van DSL-pakketten. Tot zover leuk en aardig, maar de dienstverlening houdt niet op bij het simpelweg juist bezorgen van die pakketjes.

Vanuit de klanten, Internet Service Providers (ISP's) zoals Tiscali en Orange, ontstond steeds meer vraag naar aanvullende diensten. En vanuit de aanvullende dienstverlening ontwikkelde BNS zich weer als een bredere logistieke dienstverlener die ook andere klanten aan zich weet te binden. Een belangrijke basis onder de flexibele logistieke dienstverlening is het intern gebouwde Warehouse Management Systeem (WMS).
